Eyelash Growth (Vaseline!)

Vaseline(Petroleum Jelly) is awesome. Especially for eyelashes. Yes, I said eyelashes. I've always had short straight eyelashes, but a little less then a month ago my eyelashes were falling out like crazy. (I was down in Texas at the time with my aunt and Grandma helping my Grandma move.) There was huge noticeable gap missing around the corner/middle of my eye. I had heard Vaseline was good for eyelash growth and I had tried it a couple times, but never really NEEDED to do it so I didn't notice a difference. I had gone without curling or using mascara in Texas hoping that would help them grow, but it didn't. Once I got back I started applying Vaseline on my eyelashes at night. Within a few days I could already notice a difference. My eyelashes were growing back. It's been almost a month now and they're pretty much grown back and starting to get thicker.

I had considered taking pictures before and after, but I decided not to. I really regret that now. I've looked online for before and after pictures from people using Vaseline, but haven't found any. So I can't really prove with pictures that it works, so you'll all have to just take my word for it.

I still don't know why my eyelashes were falling out. Although I'll admit I was never careful with curling my eyelashes and would curl them even after I put mascara on. I know! I'm not supposed to! With my thin weak eyelashes it probably made it even worse, I have stopped though. So that will hopefully prevent breakage in the future. I'm still continuing to put Vaseline on my eyelashes every night. Although I have noticed that the Vaseline is difficult to get off even after taking a shower in the morning, and it kind of weighs my eyelashes down when I put mascara on the next day even. I would suggest trying it out on a day that you're not going to be going anywhere and test out how it works on your eyelashes because it might mess up your mascara the next day. But seriously. It really works. I was hesitant at whether it would work or not, but happily surprised when it did work. Try it out, and tell me if it works for you too! :)

Hello!

So, I guess I'll start out by explaining what my hope for this blog is. Basically the title explains it. I'll be trying out various things. Recipes, crafts, things for hair, skin etc. and then reviewing and telling my experience with it. I'll hopefully be adding pictures along with the review (if I remember). I've recently become interested in trying different natural things, and also have been hoping to get myself to try different crafts and recipes that I wouldn't normally try. I've decided to blog about the things I try in hope that other people will find it helpful. I've been looking on Pinterest for things to try, but the extreme amount of things to choose from can make it a bit difficult. ;) If I keep up with blog like I want to maybe I'll assign different days for different things. Like a day for Pinterest tryouts, and then a day for natural tryouts. Since I've had a history of not keeping up with blogs it may not be as updated as often as I'd like. We'll see. Maybe this time I'll actually make myself do this. ;)

God Bless!
